Refurbishment of isolated single familiar house.

The challenge for our studio with this project was clear from the very beginning: turning a “normal” house of 270 m2 to a familiar house that exceeded the conventionalism of typical remodelling and provided some architectural ambition and geometry to the space.
Our clients, Tico and Vanesa, wanted to remodel this familiar property to turn it into a home for them and their two daughters.
The plan was similar to other remodellings: they needed three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living-dining room, a full-equiped kitchen and a play room for the little ones, all typical of a family home.
The remodelling carried out by our studio has achieved a single-family house with a useful distribution and wide & functional space.
The building itself included whole remodelling of 3 floors, attic and basement, so we divided the project in night-day concepts for every floor. THe play room was settled for the old garage, along with a devices room and the washing area. Entrance hall, hallway, living room and kitchen would go in the ground floor, and the second floor would be left for the girls’ bedrooms and one toilet. As last, the attic area would embrace the main bedroom with an en suite bathroom and dressing room.
These nice areas have all been furnished with the best selection of items, which provide a modern style to the house.
The large unified space at the ground floor makes the most of the house’s position and leads to the garden through a large sliding balcony, which can also be hidden to create a whole connection with the ourdoors.
Out of this project, we highlight the use of continuous large-size porcelain pavement simulating wood; enveloping white walls and outdoor graphite PVC joinery y carpintería exterior en PVC de color grafito.
As last, the other great feature of this house was the kitchen, conceived as a kitchen and flanked by a bar. All doors were painted in white and the chocolate-coloured countertop stands out integrating the room as a whole in the same ornamental area.
