Comprehensive housing reform, in a multi-family building

On this occasion we present a project to reform an apartment in El Carmen, in collaboration with the architecture Maria Benavent.
The owner wanted to give the house a completely new look, luminosity, functionality and warmth, these were the fundamental premises of this project. In addition, due to its commitment to climate change and youth, both energy efficiency and connectivity have been important.
With these premises we began giving the home a much more current image, eliminating unnecessary doors to free passage areas with the aim of offering a general view of the living room-kitchen, which were previously independent spaces, we eliminated dividing partitions to create a large area of family reunion, much more spacious and comfortable.
In the suite, the wet area and dressing room were integrated, creating a large private room without losing the spatial connection and visual fluidity present in this project. The detail is in microconcrete imprinting character to this room.
In the kitchen, where the worktop surface was doubled, we incorporated the appliances so that they were unseen to the eye. The synergy of wooden flooring and black create an elegant area to spend many hours.
The guest bathroom was adapted, providing it with all the necessary elements, replacing the bathtub with a shower of ample dimensions. For the cladding: 15x15cm porcelain stoneware in matte black was chosen, integrated with the rest of the walls through its white board.
The wood is the undeniable protagonist of this interior design, lacquered finishes, natural oak wood flooring introduced in areas wet, kitchen furniture in matt black lacquer to bring contrast and sobriety to the space, reinforcing comfort and prioritizing the functional demands of the family. Straight lines, light colours, and a sober touch in black, fit perfectly. We managed to bring a minimalist point to a distinguished group where the client understands his home as the dream space.
Without a doubt the collaboration with the architect Maria Benavent, has been a success.
